Man In The Barn

He.

So a little backstory, I hardly know the family on my mothers side, I have only met a handful of uncles and aunts. Many of the relatives I had on my mothers side live in mexico, I was born in California and only visited Mexico twice when I was young. So I only met my grandpa (mothers dad) when I was literally in diapers and I don't remember anything about him, other than the occasional pictures that are around. This is his story

Growing up we would get into these spooky campfire conversations or just talks about creepy things among us kids and then we would run around and ask our parents or any adults present if they had ever experienced anything like that. Of course there was the occasional "oh I think our old place was haunted" or "Ya I think one time I saw/felt something strange" it was all intensely interesting to me due to the fact that when you are a little kid your whole reality revolves around the idea that "grown-ups" can't lie. We would finally reach my mom, her story is what gave me nightmares and still invokes thought till this day. This was told to me all through out growing up, it was always a part of the conversation and always intrigued me, it is a  story I will tell my kids when the night is cold and their widened eyes ask me about something scary. This is the story of when my grandpa met the devil.

I will be telling the story the way it was told to me, through my mom's narrative, but I will be enhancing the vocabulary and not talk to you like you're 4 years old. We would all huddle up, wide eyed and curious she began:

Your grandpa was always an extremely brave man and never tolerated injustices of any kind. He always lived his life with integrity and pride; this resulted in a stubborn trait and would almost always result in a confrontation. Because of his alpha male attitude he got involved with some bad men in his town in Mexico and they wanted to kill him.
This was all when he was young before he got married. Your grandpa was brave but not stupid; since he couldn't show his face on the streets or he would be murdered, he had to hide. He went from place to place trying to stay hidden from the bad people; the only thing feeding him was adrenaline. Exhaustion and famine would be taking its toll on your grandpa. When leaving a hiding place, he started walking towards nowhere, trying to get out of town, he then stumbled upon a little house that looked like a barn. It was in the middle of nowhere and looked beat down and abandoned, he entered the barn, his feet barely keeping him up. He laid down to rest and get some sleep, he was extremely exhausted. He was drifting into sleep when all of a sudden he saw a man at the far end of the barn walking towards where he was laying. Your grandpa thought that it was the owner of the barn and he was just going to explain himself. However, with every step this man took it gave your grandpa more and more discomfort and anxiety. Since he was very brave this feeling was quite odd to him.  The man got closer and your grandpa noticed this man was very tall and very handsome, dressed in a black suit, this man was dressed to the nines. This was extremely odd since the clothes back then in Mexico never resembled anything like this suit. The normal town and era attire were plain pants and white shirts called "camisas de manta". This man, your grandpa would say, appeared to be extremely elegant. Then in an a blink of an eye this strange man was at your grandpas feet, grabbing him and trying to pull him away, he was trying to abduct him. Your grandpa started to fight him with all his might, punching and yelling but to no avail. Suddenly through the swinging and fighting your grandpa noticed this man’s face changing, shifting into something grotesque, something not human, it was demonic. In the struggle, with adrenaline shooting through your grandpa's veins he saw this as odd but did not feel any fear. This man struggled to drag him away and pulled his legs over and over again, he dreaded thinking what might happen if he gave up and let this man take him away. Your grandpa reaching the end of his stamina started praying. The instant your grandpa started praying and asking god for strength he felt the man's hands start letting go, and in an instant he felt the man completely let go and start walking away in no hurry at all. While the man was walking away and your grandpa was trying to comprehend what just took place, he looked down and saw something that shook him to his core, he had never felt such intense fear in his life. He then realized this man was no man at all, for his feet were gone and in place there was a horse hoof and a rooster foot. Clear as day he witnessed the animal feet coming out of the pant legs and taking the place of where a human’s feet or shoes should’ve been, these were its feet. That instance you're grandpa felt the presence of true evil, hate that is incomprehensible to anyone in the world. He began to shake from terror on a level too intense to put into words, something he has never felt or even imagined. You're grandpa got extremely sick after this experience, he got a horrible fever for days and wouldn't eat or talk, and your grandpa almost died from terror. In his heart he knew he could overcome this, his stubbornness and braveness helped him get better. That day forward he believed that pure hate existed in the world, he looked at us all and said "I have seen and felt real evil, there is no other way to put it, I don't know how or why but that day the devil tried to take me away".

When I was little this story just fascinated me. I would hear this story then be freaked out but would take pride that I had a grandfather so brave. As I got older my views on this story changed, I started to become more skeptical as I experienced life throughout the years. Then came a point where I asked my mom out right, is this story real? Thinking to myself, "well I am older and not a little kid anymore, so she could be honest with me". She sat me down and told me that her father’s experience was true.

Fact 1.
She explained that my grandpa was an extremely strict man; he was the kind of person that would be honest to a fault, always spoke his mind. He never had time for nonsense and never really joked or played, he resembled a drill sergeant in a way. What you saw is what you got, never really expressed his feelings, he was in other words a manly man. The only thing that was out of the ordinary and was well out of line from his character was, for some reason, this story. Till this day it was the only thing that did not correspond in the way my grandpa acted or behaved throughout his life. I meant him twice and like I said I was in diapers and barely walking. The last time he saw me was on his death bed in a hospital; my mom had to sneak me in to see him one last time. Upon seeing me he was filled with joy, one of his last request for my mom to always love and take care of me and asked her to refrain from hitting me when I did something wrong. I owe him a lot for that one I skipped on a lot of spankings because of him. My one true sadness is missing out on meeting such a great man, his strength surpasses physical boundaries. I hope to become half the man he was, the way my mom and her brothers and sisters speak about him makes me wish I could spend just a day with him. I hope one day my kids talk about me in such an amazing way as my mom and her siblings talk about my grandfather.

Fact 2.
I am not putting these reasons out there to try and convince you this story is real. I am merely trying to put any relevant information into context and after it is all said and done, you make your own decision. Furthermore, hearing this story now I realize it might sound like some god propaganda. The cliché God vs Satan, good vs evil, I also thought if someone heard this with no backstory that they would roll their eyes and say this is just a made up story trying to convince people to pray to god more. Well I thought this to myself too, contemplating whether they were trying to convey “hey whatever the situation is, just pray" or not. Until something dawned on me, I was never pushed into believing in god. I grew up catholic but we would not go to church on a regular basis, we weren't an over religious family. The only times my parents took us to church was when they couldn't remember the last time they had been. Now don't get me wrong we still believed in god and Jesus Christ, we also prayed to the Virgin Mary, but like I said telling me a story solely on the fact that it was religious or that it would make me pray me really did not fit at all, religion was never forced down our throats. This fact alone is why I am so fascinated with this story, it is way out of the ordinary for my family and it doesn't bear any hidden agenda or underlying message trying to get you to do something. All it wants is to be heard, there was never a lecture after the story was told, never a "remember kids always pray", it was told and when it was over the only thing that followed was awe.

Anansi's Goatman Story

The Goatman
Here I have a very interesting story. It is a first person account submitted anonymously. It really is one encounter that gave me goosebumps just reading it. Real or not I will let you be the judge. Its a great read enjoy.

From the words of the poster:

The backstory in the beginning is summarized so it moves along quicker.

Here's my story:

>be 16
>be black and have family down in Alabama
>they farm and own a huge amount of land down in Huntsville
>uncle owns a big house and a bunch of trailers they put out in the woods for hunting or camping
>down south cousins suggest that we go out there to camp
>know I'm a city kid from Chicago so they tease the fuck out of me
>collect food, kill a pig and some chickens, and bring necessities to camp out for a few days
>we get to the camp and it's obvious something is weird
>air has this weird electric smell like right before a storm, like ozone
>we think nothing of it and unpack and go down to a little creek to swim for a few hours
>All of a sudden some older white guy and a white teenager come out of the bushes
>he has a shotgun in the crook of his arm and says hello and ask us what we're doing this far back in the woods
>tell him about my uncle, who he knows, and say we're camping out
>he tells us we need to be real careful out here and stick together there was a big animal in the woods
>His son, who is my age asks if he can stay and hang out with us
>he says OK

I'm going to stop greentexting because the story is fairly long and the format is harder to write in.
So we end up playing football. Dicking around with me, there's the white kid "Tanner", five of my cousins, and then four of their friends. In total, there were five girls and six boys. We all were around 15-17.

We ended up just dicking the day away. So, we head back to the camp and pulling out some stuff for a campfire, even though the trailers both had kitchenettes. Tanner says that his family's property sits up against my uncle's. He wants to run home and ask his dad if he can come out camping with us. My cousin Rooster says he's going to go with him since it's going to get dark soon. One of the girls also wants to tag along.

It's about 7 o'clock, and it's starting to get pretty dark. They take flashlights and take the trail toward Tan's property. The rest of us chill. We make smores, drink and kiss on the girls.
About thirty or forty minutes later, there's the smell of ozone again. You could smell it over the smell of the fire we had started. This really nasty, coppery smell like right after you've had a nosebleed and it's stopped. It wasn't exactly like dried blood, but it was that nasty metallic, back-of-your-throat smell.

We immediately think that it's some kind of electrical malfunction, or someone left a hotplate on or some shit. We search the trailers and nothing is on, and we can all smell it. All of a sudden, we can hear people booking down the path toward us, and Rooster, Tan and the girl all come running into the clearing, out of breath. And they don't even break stride; they all run into the trailer, right by where the fire is.

We all get the fuck outta there and into the trailers. They end up calming down; even Rooster is crying his fucking eyes out at this point. All the while, the fire is guttering lower and lower, so my other cousins say fuck it and are about to go outside to get the generator out of a shed between the trailers.

Tanner goes, "Fuck no! Lock the front door, ain't nobody else going outside!" He's been crying too, and his eyes are bloodshot and puffy and his pants are dirty as shit.
He goes on to tell us that they went up to his house. His father said sure, he could go out camping, but to make sure they were careful on the way back, and that maybe they should take one of the hunting rifles just in case.

Evidently, Tanner had seen something in their yard a few days before. One of their pigs had come up, ripped up and half eaten. They assumed it was just some big cats or coyotes, even though they don't usually fuck with live animals.

He had gone upstairs and packed his stuff, and told his dad they would be OK without the rifle because coyotes avoid people. So they started walking back toward where we were camping.
So, Rooster finally stops crying and shaking; the girl already had, but she was just staring out the window with a dumb look on her face. He says they had gotten halfway into the woods toward the camp when they started to hear shit in the forest. It was almost pitch black by this time, so they weren't sure at first what the fuck it was. The girl says that she heard something in the bushes right off the trail and they all beamed their flashlights over there and there was someone standing back in the woods in a little hollow. Rooster said they shouted at him and told him that he was scaring the fuck out of them and what a dick he was.

He says that's when he realized that the guy was facing away from them. So they keep walking, and they start smelling the nasty coppery ozone smell. They say that they look off into the forest on the opposite side, and it's a dude standing in the forest, backward slightly closer to the path.
So now they start powerwalking and Tan keeps going, "I should have taken the fucking rifle."
As they're telling the story, the smell is still super strong even inside the cabin.

They say that after they started walking faster, a kind of low gibbering had started coming from both sides of the wood. And as they started booking it back to the trailer, the girl said she had flashed her flashlight out into the woods to the side of them and had seen something jerking itself through the woods. The gibbering just got louder and louder, and when they could see the light from our camp fire, something had come out of the woods about 40 yards behind them onto the track, and they had just flat out ran as hard as they could to the trailer.

So we're out in the fucking woods, and we're assuming at this point it's some rednecks or some shit trying to fuck with us.

All of a sudden, my other cousin, Junior, starts going on about how he went to school with a native kid that was telling him about the 'Goatman' or some shit. We promptly tell him to shut the fuck up because we don't need any spooky talk right now.

But he just keeps going on and on about how it's the fucking 'Goatman,' and how we're in his woods and blah, blah, blah. Now at the time, I had never heard of this goat man or any of that, but then a couple years ago -- the year before I graduated from college -- I had a Menom for a roommate and I ended up asking him about it. And to sum it up, it's basically a fucking man with the head of a goat and he can shape shift and he gets among groups of people to terrorize them. It's also supposed to be kind of like the Wendigo, and it's bad mojo to even talk about it and even worse if you see it.
Keep in mind, I didn't know this back when I was sixteen. So my cousin is going, "The goat man's going to get in and fucking get us." The girls are all terrified and my cousins and I are all fucking trying to figure out if it's just some hillbillies or if it's some animal.

So all of a sudden the smell just goes away. Like to this day, I haven't even experienced anything like it. Like, usually smells fade away or lessen. It just literally was there one second and then not the second.

So it's after an hour, making it around 9 or 10. We've stopped shitting bricks enough to go back outside and stoke the fire again. We figure it was just some assholes trying to fuck with us, so we don't go back home, because we think if we do, they'll chase us through the woods or some crazy shit.
Nothing else weird happens that night. And we stay another night, and for the main part of the night nothing happens. At about 1 in the morning, we're outside getting drunk and telling ghost stories. As someone is finishing some 2spooky story -- I don't remember what about -- the smell comes back. It's so fucking strong, that one of the girls literally starts vomiting.
I stand up, and you can actually feel how clammy the air is. I say we should get inside and this isn't right; we should have just fucking left.

We all go back inside, and we're standing around. My cousin just keeps going on about how it's the goat man. And my cousin Rooster tries to shut him the fuck up, and all the while I'm just feeling that something is wrong, and I can't figure out what the fuck it is.

We end up sitting in there for a while; the smell is just as strong, and we're terrified and all huddled in this camper. We end up cooking brats for everybody because nobody wants to go outside. It's one of those packs with four brats. We have a total of 3 packs. I grill them up on the stove and give everybody a hot dog. I get mine. After a while, one of my cousins gets up and goes over to the pot to get another one.

He starts grumbling about about how I get two brats and everybody else only got one, and I look at him like he's fucking stupid. I tell him that everybody only got one because there were only 12 brats, if he wants more he should open up a new pack and cook some more.
That's when the girl that had been out with Rooster and Tan just starts screaming, "OH JESUS, OH LORD, GET IT OUT!" She's crying and shivering, and then it dawns on the cousin standing up what the fuck is wrong. Me and him both glance around the room, and then I feel my heart fucking sink. I run the fuck out of the cabin and the girl runs out with us. The trailer door is banging against the side of the trailer as everybody books out of the cabin.

One of my cousin's friends ask us what the fuck was wrong. I start counting us. There's only 11 now.
"I shit you not," my cousin verified. There had been twelve people in the cabin. But being that everybody didn't really know each other well, nobody had really noticed the whole fucking time that there was an extra person. And then I realized earlier that I had kind of noticed something was off. You know how when you're just dicking around having a good time that you don't sweat the smallest shit, and you don't always keep track of certain stuff? I'm dead sure that someone else had been in the trailer with us, and that they had been there for at least a fucking day, eating with us. What makes it worse is, I could figure out which one because I don't think anyone ever actually interacted with the other person/the Goat-man.

The girl kept praying to Jesus and we're all sitting outside; eventually we get big-ass sticks and go back in the cabin, but there's nobody in there. We count again, and there's 11 people. We go back into the trailer and lock the door. We explain what the fuck happened, and the girl says that she realized too, and that when he was about to say something, the person sitting next to her had grabbed her leg hard and leaned over toward her and said something she couldn't understand.
So we are pretty much scared as fuck as we huddle together, and I fall asleep. When I wake up, the sun is just coming up, and half the people are asleep and the other half are packing our shit up.
We all want to walk back home, but like four people want to stay until the sun is all the way up. And some people think that we're just fucking around and still want to stay at the trailers. I just want to get the fuck out of the woods.

The girl's name was Keira, the one that the Goat-man had touched. Anyway, I asked her if she really thinks it was something bad, and she says she just wants to go home and she doesn't want to be out in the woods alone for another night.

So we decide to split up; the four that want to go can go, but I have to stay because I have the keys to the cabin and it's my uncle's and I have to lock up. I'm super pissed at this point, because I feel like people aren't taking this shit seriously, and I definitely didn't want to be out in the woods for another night. I spend the rest of the day trying to convince the rest of the people -- now 4 girls and four guys -- to get the fuck out of dodge. Tanner leaves with them to go get a rifle and says he's going to be back. So there are just 7 of us left by 4 PM.

At around 5 PM he hasn't made it back yet, and we're getting extremely fucking antsy, and the only reason I stopped begging them to go back was because he went to get a gun.
it's about 5:30 PM or so, when the one cousin that did stay says that the girl Keira is outside. We all look outside, and sure enough, she's standing by the firepit with her back to the cabin.
I'm thinking to myself, if she was so fucking scared, why the hell would she come back? And then I get this nasty feeling in my gut. Keep in mind, the whole time the coppery smell has been gone. Now I realize I can smell just a twinge of it.

I say this to the rest of them and everybody -- and these are the people that wanted to stay in the fucking woods after we had the goddamn Goatman in our midst -- is laughing at me and asking if I set this up to scare them.

I'm looking at them like, "I'm not fucking bullshitting you at all right now." I ask them why the fuck would I play like that? So one of the girls goes outside to get Kiera. She gets halfway to her and stops cold. Keira starts heaving; I don't know how the fuck to describe it. Sort of like if someone with their back turned was laughing without actually making any sound. It was this fact that made me realize there was not a fucking sound in the whole woods; it was dead silent.

This was like later in September, so it was still fairly hot at the time, but it was super chilly some days too. And you could usually hear big-ass geese honking or some kind of birds or squirrels chitchatting.
So I step out the door and tell her to come back in the fucking trailer right goddamn now.
She backs up into the trailer and we lock the fucking door. We pull down all the shades except one, and put a guy there in a chair to watch her. She stands there for another 20 minutes or so. The guy turns to say that she's still there. And there's a HUGE fucking bang on the door.
We all jump the fuck up and scramble around the living room of the trailer. The banging is super fucking loud.

So now my cousin is holding one of the girls and the other two are kinda giggling with nervous laughter and me and the other two guys are shitting brix.
Then we hear Tan. He's screaming.

"LET ME THE FUCK IN, STOP FUCKING PLAYING!"

So we go over to the door and open it, and he stumbles in with a rifle. There's nobody else outside.
Evidently, he had walked up to the campsite. Nothing weird happened in the forest, but he had seen a girl. Mind you, he said it was not Keira standing there. When he had gotten to the edge of the clearing, she had turned toward him with the slackjawed look and just stared him down, slowly tracking him as he walked around the outside of the clearing towards the camp. He said it wasn't till he was almost halfway to the trailer he had realized that she was getting closer to him. She had started off by the fire, and without him even seeing her move she had been turning, inching closer. He said he just ran the rest of the way back to the cabin thinking it would open. And when he got to the door and it was locked, he turned and it was about half the distance to the door.

He looks around the room and then gets super pale. He pulls me to the side and whispers in my ear, "You know there are only seven of us in here, right?" I get that feeling where you stomach drops to your nuts. It had been back inside the trailer while we were sorting out who was going where, and then when we all went outside to talk earlier in the day. It has just slipped right back in.
We looked out the window and there is nobody out there. So we recount everyone and then basically, I go over and ask everyone how many people were here earlier. And everybody says 8. I say, "Well, how many are here now?" They all do the count and then realize there are only now seven people in the cabin.

So Tan had brought back a couple boxes of ammo and his rifle. And he had told his dad that there was some kind of animal in the forest because he didn't think his dad would believe him if he said it was Goatman. He says that his cousin is supposed to be coming down in a few hours and that in the morning we can all go back to his place and his cousin will drive us home.

Now I'm really fucking terrified, but I at least feel better because we can be American and shoot the fuck out of whatever it is if it comes back. But then my cousin gets into this huge argument with one of the girls because she thinks that I'm trying to be funny and prank them, and that she's getting really scared and that I'm not funny. He keeps telling her I'm not that kind of person, and she says, "Well, how do we know the girl wasn't just Tanner in a wig? Or if it's really the Goatman, how do we know that this is the real Tanner and that Goatman just didn't kill Tanner in the woods and take his gun?"
So we fucking get into a huge argument about this, where me and Tan are like, "we could seriously be in danger because at the very least someone has been sneaking themselves into our fucking trailer without us knowing and mingling with us, and at worst, something bad is in the forest fucking with us."

One of the girls is crying and saying she wants to go right now, and we're trying to tell her we shouldn't because none of us are walking through the woods in the middle of the night. At this point the sun is starting to go down and it's getting a little cloudy out.
We eat something and turn on the radio for a while, but we can't really get a station out there with anything decent. So we turn it off at about the time that Tan's cousin shows up. He was like 19, I think. At this point, the sun is just barely over the horizon and he has one of those heavy duty lantern flashlights and another rifle. He walks up to the trailer and we whisper to Tan asking if he's sure that's his cousin and he says yes.

The guy looks behind him and all around the camp, then walks in. He kind of glances at all of us and looks a little confused.

He says, "Where's your other little buddy at? I figured she would meet me up at the cabin. Is she a little slow or something?" He also asked whether we had been cooking blood in the cabin, because it smelled like blood and hot pans all the way up the trail. We are all like fucking "NOPE." But we ask him what the fuck he's talking about with the girl he saw.
He had come down the same trail Tan had been using and he had come up on "one of youse guy's buddies" standing in the middle of the trail, looking at him slack jawed. He had asked her a bunch of questions, but all she did was just look at him. Then, she smiled at him and he said he kept walking. She couldn't seem to keep up with him and kept lagging a little behind him. He said he asked her if she was hurt or something, and if she needed any help. But, she had continued to stare. Eventually, he had been walking and turned around a bend in the trail. But when he turned around and went back to see if she was okay, the trail was empty. He'd assumed she had taken some short cut through the woods to our trailer.

We tell him the whole story of what's been going on. I half expected him to say we were full of shit, but he just listened and then sat down on the couches in the living room.
Tanner's cousin gets back to the girl. He says, when she had kept trying to lag behind him, it had kinda weirded him the fuck out, so he tried to keep her in front of him, but no matter how slow he walked, she was always lagging a little behind. And that he smelled this nasty smell, and it got stronger as he got to the camp. Eventually it got really strong. She had said something really low that he didn't catch, and when he had turned around she had been right the fuck up on him, and he stepped back from her.

It was at this point he asked her if she was okay, and if she wasn't, him to carry her back the rest of the way, and she just kept staring. He said he reached out for her, as in to grab her on the shoulder, but he must have "misjudged the distance" because she was off to the side of where he had put his hand, like she had moved while he was looking dead at her.
So at this point, we know this shit's real, unless Tan is playing a joke, which we can tell he's not because he's almost pissing his pants.

So they load up their rifles, we eat some more, and we just kind of sit around until about 11. To this fucking day, every time I think about this, I really pray to God that it's some huge prank that my cousins played on me and just never revealed so I would shit for the rest of my life.
At 'round 11, the stink of copper turns into an actual nasty gross blood-like smell, like cooking blood and singed hair. Tan and his cousin, Reese, get the fuck up instantly and grab the rifles.
There's like a half-knocking, half-clawing at the door, and I shit you not, there's this voice, and it sounds like when you see those YouTube cats and dogs whose owners teach them how to "talk." It says in this halting, weirdly toned voice, "Let me the fuck in, stop fucking playing."
It made my fucking nuts creep up against my body, and one of the girls just starts crying and calling on Jesus.

It was so fucking obviously not a person talking. It didn't have the right cadence, and that's some shit that I never realized until that moment, but all people have a certain cadence when they talk, no matter what language. All people have a certain kind of rhythm to talking.
This shit didn't have any kind of cadence or rhythm. One of those YouTube cats, that's what the fuck it sounded like outside the door. So now I'm in full on terror mode. We keep yelling outside, "Who is it? Stop fucking around, man!" and it just keeps saying, "in" or "Let me the fuck in" for almost 15 minutes.

It sounded like this almost, just not funny. Sorry for being on a tangent, but if you can't imagine how this shit sounded, then you can't imagine how fucked up the whole situation was.
So then the smell goes away for a while. And for the next hour or so, you can hear someone basically creeping around in the woods and shit. Every couple minutes it'll come back into the door, and say something.

Finally when the smell fades away, it's around 2 in the morning right now. Reese says, "Man, fuck this!" and opens the door and walks outside with his rifle.
He fires a shot into the air, and says something to the effect of, "In the name of Jesus Christ, go away!" He fires two more times, and then from the woods right up against the river across from the trailer, it sounds like something is slowly jibbering and hooting.
Then it starts screaming and it sounds almost like a woman and a cat in a bag screaming together. Like I seriously have never heard any shit like that, and you can hear the brush over that way start to shake, Reese fires over into the treeline and then starts backing into the house.
We lock the door, and we can hear this shit keening and screaming. Reese says something had come out of the bushes, super low to the ground and crawling toward the cabin. He had shot at it.
Pretty much, that was how the rest of the night went; it was literally screaming constantly for the next two hours, and we could hear shit moving out into the treeline. But it never came back up to the cabin until everyone had finally fallen asleep.

Tan had been sitting in the chair watching the door with his rifle; nobody else heard or saw this, and he told me two days later, after the whole thing was over.

He said he had been nodding off after the screaming and noises finally stopped, and he had been almost asleep when he saw someone come out of the bathroom and then lay down in the middle of the floor and go to sleep. He just assumed it was one of us and he had nodded off.
Then he said he kind of realized something was wrong, and while pretending to be sleeping, he counted us. There were 9 people in the cabin. He basically didn't want to try to shoot at the fucking thing in the cabin and have it kill us all then and there, or have Reese wake up and start shooting and then we kill ourselves. So he just stayed awake all night, pretending to be asleep.
He said sometimes, it would stand up and kind of do this weird jittery thing, or heave like it was laughing. But then it would lay back down.

The story closes pretty weak, because from my perspective nothing happened. We woke up. And I noticed that Tan was a little jittery, and that he was avoiding looking at all of us. But we ate some breakfast, packed up and started walking to his house. He stayed last in the cabin and said he'd lock up and bring me my uncle's keys; to just start walking and he'd catch up. Which I didn't really want to fucking do.

We got a little bit up the path, and when he came running up, basically we just jogged back to his house. His cousin took us home.

There was a window in the bathroom. Tan had gone back to lock up and looked in there. We were too stupid to lock a screenless window. The window was fucking up when he went in there.
I'm guessing it had been doing that all along, waiting for us to fall asleep or slip up and then getting in among us. It walked with us all the Goddamn way back to his house, and then he said it lagged to the back of the group and looked him dead in the eyes before walking into the woods.

Stress Opens Something

Twisted Mind

I had recently been employed at a new job, it was something I had always been interested in for a while. I had no idea the stress that it would cause. When I started it was all fine and I was going by ok. The only thing that I needed to get used to was the sleep schedule. I had been accustomed to working in the afternoon, so a morning job was something I never was fond of but I thought change would be a good thing. It was exciting at first I had new job jitters and anxiety nothing out of the normal. Move forward, I became some what comfortable with the job and I was enjoying it. The stress began about a month in and it was devastating. Work changed a lot and the pressure that was being put on me was unreal. I began to get really bad anxiety, to where I couldn't enjoy myself or enjoy my off time because when I wasn't at work I was dreading the fact that I would be going back in the hours to come. After weeks of anxiety the depression kicked in, I'm talking about deep depression. I have always been a happy guy, always "looking on the bright side of things" kind of person. Never had I really felt any true kind of anxiety or depression in my life. I was going down pretty fast, and things around me started changing negatively.

It all started with little things, we started noticing that items were not where we had left it. It wasn't like stuff was found in places where our kids could take our things and put, most of this happened when no one was in the house or everyone was asleep.  They were just in places that did not make sense. For example, I had come home from work one day and put my uniform pants on the bed as I was getting ready to take a shower. When I had finished the pants were gone and I didn't think anything of it I just thought my girlfriend had taken them. Fast forward to later that evening, she informed me that she was doing laundry and wanted my work pants. I stated that they were placed on the bed before my shower and when I had come out they were gone. If she hadn't take them we assumed it was the kids so we looked everywhere, including their room. So we finally gave up and I had to use my other pair of pants. While at work my girlfriend texts me saying she found the pants, and asked if I was fucking around with her. I said no that I didn't know what she was talking about. Ok off topic real quick, we have a baby crib next to our bed that we don't use, it is more like storage for other things; this thing is full, higher than the brim with miscellaneous stuff. Well turns out that the pants we were looking for were at the very bottom of that crib. Like the very bottom of all the shit we had in there, a place our kids could not get to fast enough, a place that we would have never looked, and if it wasn't for her cleaning we probably would have never found them. Another little weird event was the problem with my cell phone. I left my phone on my desk to say good bye to my girlfriend she was taking the kids over to grandmas. In returning to my desk I forgot about my phone and proceeded to go on about my day not caring at all about it. mostly playing video games or reading books it was a while since I had heard it go off and its unusual since I have notifications all the time from apps, e-mails, calls, texts etc. but nothing. So I walk over and pick it up and try to turn it on and see if the sound was off, and it won't turn on. I thought the battery had died so I plugged it up and nothing. It wouldn't even light up to tell me that it was charging. I dreaded thinking that this was it and that my phone had just stopped working. I played with the cable a little to make sure it hadn't gone bad, and nothing. I was getting frustrated and was about to just toss the phone when I decided to check the battery. The back of my phone doesn't have any where you can pry it open so you just have to mess with it and force it open. It is difficult to get it off and on so I never really mess with the battery or anything inside. I finally get it off and I just stare at it in shock and kinda have a "what the fuck?" look on my face. My battery was flipped and turned upside down, I slowly pulled out like it anticipating to come alive and bite me. I fixed it and snapped the back on and pushed the power button, it turned on just fine. All my notification came rushing in at once and the phone was fine. This really weirded me out since I couldn't find an explanation for it. I texted my girlfriend asking her why she was messing with my battery but she was clueless never touched my phone let alone open it move the battery and snap the cover back on. When I told her about it she made a point that she was experiencing stuff not being where she had placed them when she was home as well. We talked about it more and realized that all this shit started happening when I started the new job. This all was just minor things that we would notice. The event that really got me to quit was something I really can't explain.

Nothing unusual happened on this day, it was normal. We all went to sleep. While I was asleep I didn't really have sleep paralysis this felt like normal dream until later. In the dream I was running down what seemed to be a hotel hallway, it looked like a long hallway with a number of doors on either side. I was running away from this blackness that was engulfing the end of the hallway getting closer to me the faster I ran. The black did not have any weird characteristics to it, it just looked like pitch darkness, like the hallway was disappearing into nothing. I looked ahead and there was a these double doors that I was running towards. When I was about to reach it flames started coming out of the doors and started covering everything. I looked behind me and all I could see was fire flames all around me. I opened one of the room doors on the side and ran through it, still everything on fire. I ran past the two beds and slammed against a wall, I had nowhere to go, this was it, I was going to burn alive right here. When I felt the flames getting hotter I was awaken by very loud noise and light. I was extremely disorientated when I woke up. The loud sound was my smoke detecter going off, I live in an apartment we have the smoke and bright strobe light go off at the same time. The split second I wake up I look out into the living and I swear on everything that I see smoke. I yell my girlfriends name and run towards our kids bedroom which is directly on the other side of the living room. While I'm running I stop and notice there is no smoke at all, I am standing there and the fire alarm and strobe lights are still going. When I realize theres nothing there the lights and alarm turn off. I am standing there feeling like an idiot, my girlfriend comes out freaking out telling me whats wrong I tell her that I saw smoke, but there was nothing there. I felt really stupid after I was just standing there shaking, not because I was afraid it was just all the adrenaline shooting through my every limb.

these are the smoke detectors in my apartment
There was absolutely nothing that could have set those off. It was around 3:00 in the morning and there was nothing around. They had never gone off on their own before and it hasn't happened again till this day, weeks later. I decided that this wasn't the right job for me, the money was good but not at the cost of losing my sanity. When I finally quit and started looking for a new job, I felt like I had changed, my girlfriend said she had the old me back and what I was turning into while having that job was something she didn't like. I was filling out a job application and it asked the usual, to list my previous employer and the start and end dates. I was at this job for 5 months, my head was spinning and I was just in shock of how long I was there. It literally felt like I was just there for a couple of weeks. I was just a shell, just going about everyday filled with anxiety and depression. I felt like I must have been on some kind of auto pilot not really paying attention to anything else in my life and indulging in everything negative about my feelings. It just amazed me how much time had gone by without me even realizing it, blocked by wall of negativity and darkness. I couldn't enjoy anything, everything around me felt bland and boring, I started to detest having to wake up, started feeling like the things I really enjoyed before were just a nuisances in my life.

I am happy that I left and slowly started becoming myself again. This may be nothing compared to what some people go through with depression but it was a new low in my life, and I am sorry to whoever feels likes this on a daily basis and feels like theres no outlet. Maybe something needs to be changed in your life. All I want to say is that when I was in so much negativity and despair something might have opened. I don't know if it was inside me, if I was causing all the weird shit to happen but all the weird stuff has stopped and nothing has happened since I left.

Me.

ME.

Things have slowed down in my life a bit and I could really get back to writing and sharing my stories. I have not been able to post for a while but that is going to change I am going to be posting more experiences of my life, strange or not. I have not really experienced any weird things pertaining to sleep paralysis. I will begin to share experiences just in my personal life. I started this blog as a stress relief, writing and connecting really helps to calm me down and clears my head and to who ever is reading this I thank you for listening.

Photo I took on a trip.
So Like I said my blog might head in a different directions since If I solely wrote about my sleep paralysis than I would run out of things to write about, but don't worry the paranormal will always be covered here as well. I will still talk about strange things locations, times, items etc. and talk about myself. Writing helps me get out what I otherwise couldn't say out loud. So thank you for reading and please stay connected I have a bunch of material I am going to be coming out with. Please share and grow with me, Thank you

The Sad Home

In Sickness
Unknown Home

I had a really weird sleep paralysis dream the other day. It felt extremely real. I know that I haven't put up anything lately, other things got in the way. Any ways here we go.
It was a pretty busy day and I couldn't wait to sink into my bed, my eyes were heavy. I finally got home and was dead tired, it was in the middle of the day so I decided to just take a quick nap, I really wasn't feeling well. I went to sleep fairly quickly, I would wake up for a second and toss and turn not really fully awake. Then when I opened my eyes to turn and get more comfortable. I wasn’t on my bed anymore, I could clearly see I was in another room I didn't recognize. I couldn't move I was paralyzed, facing a door way. From what I could see by moving my eyes around, since I couldn't really move my head, the house looked black like not painted black, but burnt. Like it was covered in charcoal. I have never seen this house before, I had a burning sensation in my lungs. I tried moving and nothing was happening. I thought it was really weird but just because I am used to sleep paralysis doesn't particularly mean I enjoy it. So I tried holding my breath like I always have before to wake up. It was sort of my technique, if you will, to “snap out” of the episode or dream. So I held my breath and nothing happened, I gasped for air and this is when I started to panic a little. “This always fucking works” I thought to myself, in addition plenty of  the words “oh shit” and “fuck” came after while I was freaking out. I started looking around and I could still see the burnt room, the studs in the walls were visible through the black, charcoal, burnt mess. I tried  holding my breath again and still nothing I couldn't hold it anymore and started gasping for air a shock of pure terror shot through my body. I was worried for some reason that I wouldn't be able to breath next time, I was panicking. All of a sudden I start hearing a faint roaring, it sounded familiar, not like any animal or person, but….a fire.  The whooshing sound of flames started to fill the noiseless setting around me. The flames got louder and for some reason my eyes shot straight to the empty door way. A faint amber light started, I guess, manifesting itself and lit up the darkness beyond the door, it was a hallway. I could make out the structure of the hallway and other doors, at the end of the hallway there was a banister leading into a set of stairs going down. My eyes were fixated  towards the amber light, it looked like it was coming from the stair case. Then I see a head start coming up, slowly from what I can guess was the first floor. It reached the top of the stairs and I am freaking out screaming for help, at this moment I had forgotten where I fell asleep at. This was my reality, this was really happening to me, at least thats what I thought at the moment.
I could see the figure, it looked like a woman the amber light behind her made it hard to see the face. Something was not right though she looked like she was running down the hallways toward me but, I know this sounds corny, it looked like she was running in slow motion. She was at a sprint and but looked slowed down. She started getting closer, she was booking it straight towards me, I tried moving and screaming and nothing I couldn’t move to save my life. As soon as she reached the door frame of the room she tumbled to the ground and fell towards me, I could see her face now, she looked like a normal caucasian woman, she was blond, she had a mom look not too old. Every nerve in the her face exposed fear and panic, she was screaming, her voice faint but frantic. She was looking straight at me yelling her mouth moving a little slower than real time. When she collapse on the floor and looked at me was when I realized that I was under a bed, I was at the very edge but I was mostly under the bed. She kept screaming, I calmed down a little bit seeing that she looked like a normal person, I went from holy fucking shit I am going to die, to what the hell is going on. I could almost read her mouth and lips, “Get out!” “Come on!” she repeated it over smacking the bed above me with every yell, by the demeanor of her face she was forcing every word, words that would never reach me. The roaring of what sounding like a fire started to come back, I could see the faint amber/orange glow getting brighter. My insides felt like they were on fire, my lungs burned more than they ever have. It felt like I was being pushed closer to death with each painful gasp. It was painfully hot, I saw tears running down her face. She looked around like people do when they are about to do something they are not suppose and are checking if any ones looking. This was strange for a second her whole body language and attitude switched, after looking around she look back at me and just stayed there. From her face I could only guess she was contemplating decisions in her head, but what?

All the while my lungs were still burning. I looked away from her and down the hallway again, I could see the fucking fire now! it wasn't a faint roar or a glow I could see the flames  on the ceiling at the end of the hallway, it started flowing down the hallway ceiling towards us, graceful like water but fierce, licking and snapping with every flame. Then it reached the top of the door frame and it started spilling over the border onto the ceiling of the room I was helplessly in. My attention was on the fire this whole time trying to breath, the house around me was beginning to burn. The flames started to slowly crawl down the wall I was facing, It was slow it looked alive, like it was thinking or something was controlling it, It would come down slowly then go a little faster but then in snap it would jump back up towards the ceiling. It seems silly but the closest thing I can compare it to would be like when a dog is on a leash, and its trying to go faster than the owner is walking, and then they pull the leash and the dog kinda jumps back. This fire was acting more like a pet than a force of nature. I know it sounds dumb but Im just telling it how I experienced it.

I had forgotten that the lady was in the room with me for second, and my attention was back on her she was still crying her tears leaving black streaks on her face. She was covering her ears rocking back and forth gritting her teeth, whispering something, her movement was still slowed down. As she shook her head I could clearly see her hair slowly rising and falling. All of a sudden she looks at me and her mouth slowly opens her facial expression slowly turns and I know she's about to scream something to me, I see her mouth the words “get out!” and slowly I start to hear them echoing  getting stronger and stronger. I finally hear the words, her facial expression turns from terror to anger as she lunges forward slowly going through the air. She has her arm outstretched like she's about to grab me, her hand, I could see it was burning, the top flesh peeling away reveling the pink tender burnt skin underneath, then it started to turn black, like burnt, charcoaled and it started cracking I could see it turning into ash, like the ash at the end of a lit cigarette, the closer it got to me. Her outstretch hand coming closer to my face, she's crying and still screaming falling towards me. Right then her had touches my face, the first thing that I felt was the rough texture of her black burnt hand, the second thing was I smelled was the ash, It was real, I could smell it. The third thing is something I cannot explain, I felt pain, I felt the hand start to burn my face. I remember screaming at the top of my lungs, her hand covering most of my face. I could see her right above me through her fingers, her neck was cracking and turning ashy white going slowly up towards her face. She stared into my eye, the one I was looking at her with, she was sobbing her face squished, her mouth contorted, showing intense sadness, emotional pain, and fear. I could see her mouth the last word she had for me “go” a tear rolled down her check and hung on her chin, it dropped headed straight for my eye.
The tear hit my eye and in second I snapped awake gasping for air, like when you trip in a dream and you jump awake, it was exactly like that. I pushed myself up off the bed coughing I was covered in sweat, the bed sheets were damp. The sun was still up and it took me a second to realize where I was at. I exhaled in relief, I was in my room, on my bed, I could hear my kids playing in the living room. I went to the restroom to wash my face and wipe some sweat off. relieved that whatever that was, was over.
Everything I experienced felt extremely real, I tried to think and see if I could recognize the woman I saw but nothing came to mind. I also tried thinking about the house well at least the second floor and the room I was in, trying to remember if I had seen it any where but no luck. I couldn't see much of the room, I saw what looked like drawings on the corner of the floor, most were burnt and I could only see some of whatever was drawn, they looked like what a little kid would draw on plain white paper at school or arts and crafts. There were little dressers and like cubby holes in the corners of the room. I’ve had time to think about everything I didn't notice while I was experiencing it, it all hit me after I sat down and went through it from beginning to end in my head. Well any ways thank you for reading, if you like my blog please share with friends and family, I don't get paid or anything it just feels good sharing my life experiences, and connecting with people and I need your help to do that. So Thank you so much or reading and If I don't experience anything else this month, may you have a wonderful christmas, happy holidays stay safe.

Missing 411 By David Paulides

Missing 411

Where did they go?

So I have been reading this series of books one of my friends had recommended to me. These are extremely interesting and leave it open to everyones interpretation or conclusions. Im straying away from the usual subject matter of my blogs to share this with everybody. I personally really enjoy these books for the strange occurrences mixed with our real world. These are non-fiction books, they are facts and research accumulated over the years by the author David Paulides.
These series of books are written by David Paulides a retired police officer turned investigator, he follows and puts together a series of mysterious missing people cases around the United States. He quickly found a pattern with these missing person cases, they all revolved around U.S national parks. Literally clusters of missing people around these huge parks. Not only did he find clusters of missing people but also as he dug into the missing persons cases and reviewed the evidence and details, he found similar descriptions of how these people went missing. For example, many of the missing people in these books were children. If found, fortunately, when looked at the time they went missing to the time they were found, these kids traveled an impossible amount of distance. We are talking about 3-6 year olds walking through extremely dense forest and deadly swamps for miles in no time at all.

In addition, each and every person found cannot remember how they just wandered off and got lost. Each person explained how they blacked out and then came to seconds before being found. Another strange thing is when children were found or sometimes, unfortunately, when their bodies were found, they would be in a place already scouted and searched by park rangers and volunteers. How is this possible? There are plenty more very strange, I guess, coincidences in these books, or are they?

"Major news organizations do a deplorable job of covering
stories and issues which are deemed too unusual
or too far outside the box. Chances are, they will find a way

to trivialize or ignore the disturbing evidence accumulated

by David Paulides, a former lawman turned investigative

journalist. The paper trail uncovered by Paulides through

sheer doggedness is impressive, the evidence indisputable.
People are vanishing without a trace from our national
parks and forests, yet government agencies are saying nothing.
At a minimum, this story deserves space on the front
page of every newspaper in the country, and it warrants a
formal high level inquiry by the federal agencies whose files
leave little doubt that something very strange is unfolding
in our wilderness."

George Knapp, Host, Coast to Coast AM

Moreover, many of the searches were delayed due to very heavy rain and storms coming out of nowhere seconds after the person goes missing. Search dogs not being able to track anything, some seemed like they were hesitant or didn't want to follow the trail for some reason. Im telling you guys if this interests you pick up the Missing 411 books your in for one hell of a trip.
The books are called Missing 411, they go as follow

1. Missing 411: Eastern U.S

2. Missing 411: Western U.S

3. Missing 411: North America and Beyond

4. Missing 411: The Devil's in the Detail

5. Missing 411: A Sobering Coincidence

All the books are excellent reads, if you try to purchase them from amazon or any where else they can get pretty expensive. I suggest you get them off his personal website  here. For those of you who have read these books what do you think? Is there something out there that does not like us, why mostly children? Any ways let me know what you think down below. Thank you for reading. Have a great day.

Willing Terror Part 2.

                             Willing Terror

Part 2

This is a continuation of Part 1. Thank you for reading..

I raised my hands and looked directly at them and just like that the scene that  I was dreaming about looked like it got ripped apart, like it was some background made of paper, and my dads living room came into focus. I was still staring at my hands, I could hear the rapid beating of my heart and with each deep, heavy thump I started breathing in slower and slower. My hands started to, what I could describe as disappearing, my palms were becoming see through and as the set of hands that were in front of me became more faint, I could see that my arms were now by my side as I lay normally. To my realization I could not move, of course the thought and images of that thing holding my arm came rushing through my head and a fierce vibration or white noise feeling immediately covered every part of my body. I wish it would just stop I had enough of this shit and fear turned into anger, I was literally angry just pure rage coming over me, I wanted to fight whatever was causing this. As soon as the anger and the thought of fighting came to mind, in a split second everything became quiet. I was again alone in this silent dream hell. I was facing the wall where my dad had his couch, I tried shoving my girlfriend and yelling “help, babe, wake up!” but of course nothing came out. While I was trying to wake up I started to hear faint coughing. Everything was silent except this distant couching and gasping. I tried to close my eyes but it was useless they would not shut. I looked around and I saw this fucking thing sitting on the couch it was pitch black, it looked like it was covered in charcoal. Its feet were splintered at the end of them, its thin legs also looked like it was made of black burnt wood pieces or something. Its head was what terrified me the most it looked cracked or broken with faint amber light coming through the cracks, It wasn't facing me, it was facing in the direction of my son. It kept coughing and gasping for air, its breaths were really rough like a horrible smokers throat. I screamed at it trying to get its attention, it flinched a little turning what I could only guess was its ear towards me. I yelled at it and and told it to leave, with all my might I tried to move but couldn’t. He didn't react or anything like it couldn't even hear me. This was all extremely real, I could swear if I tried hard enough I would be able to move or do something. All of a sudden my heart drops, it raises its thin, disgustingly burnt arm and points it at my son, I am literally scared to death. It goes to stand up, Im screaming and trying to kick stand up do something. For some reason I feel the faint emptiness in the back of my head, the same feeling I got going into sleep paralysis. I start concentrating on it trying to get it bigger. I don't really understand how this is happening since I am already in sleep paralysis, am I going deeper into this state of, I guess, being? The feeling starts to get bigger as this thing starts to advance towards my son. The feeling inside me started to grow, I think this thing could sense it, as the feeling grew stronger, the thing would walk slower, taking its paces slower.
Movie: Insidious Part 1.
Finally I could feel it all over my body and in one swing motion with all my strength I try to move my arm and it shoots up. To my amazement I sit straight up and now Im staring directly at this thing! I yell at it one more time and I could hear my voice it echoes extremely loud I feel the whole apartment shake. It subsides and this thing turns and faces me. It had no face, It was just a round black hole that looked like a dying camp fire with the tips of some the splinters that made his whole body glowing. The best way I could explain is when you light a stick or log and you blow the flame out, there is this glow of the burned area and as you blow on it it gets brighter. I could see it breathing though all the little burnt out amber lights were slowly getting brighter and then dimmer. It was moving its head like it was taking in every detail of my face, I could smell it, it was like pure smoke, a burning sensation was filling my lungs until I couldn't take it anymore and I looked away and gasped for any fresh air not poisoned by this thing. As I took a deep breath in my eyes were watery and I turned quickly around, knowing I would have to face this thing again, slowly I turned my head and it was gone. My body suddenly felt extremely heavy, it felt like my core that allowed me to sit up was straining from all the weight and slowly I started to fall back down on back until I was completely flat and thats when I heard an ear splitting screech and my eyes shot open.

Thank god I was finally awake, the nightmare was over and I could go on and sleep. Of course I couldn’t, or didn't want to, I stood up and walked over to where this thing was sitting down at, examining it I don’t remember why, I mean thinking for one second that it was actually real makes me feel silly now. I guess I was just looking for some kind of evidence, these sleep paralysis episodes felt so real that maybe they could manipulate reality in some way. Which again feels like really silly again thinking about this now, but I was just straight out of sleep and wasn't really thinking straight.

This is the first account of me ever being able to put myself into sleep paralysis, and also the first time I can remember ever being able to move in the frightening hell that is my sleep paralysis.  By far the most terrifying, I think because I didn’t personally felt in danger but I did feel like it was going to harm my son. Again its only a dream and it might seem sill to feel these emotions but when your in the moment of sleep paralysis it feels extremely real, the thought of this is just a dream doesn't cross your mind. Thank you everybody for reading.

Willing Terror (Part 1)

Willing Terror
My choice

For as long as I can remember these events were out of my control. Like I have said before I do not really look into these events I let others make their conclusions. Well a reason I do not look into this stuff is I feel like ignoring it is like a dam, holding everything back. I have a strong feeling that if I did open up to the paranormal or ghosts, whatever you want to call it, it would all rush in. I have eerie feeling that I would be seeing, hearing and experiencing way more than the little bit I deal with now. I do not have any interest in contacting anything out of this world, and I feel like I may have the ability and really don't want it. Its like the little bit that I feel, like when I cannot be alone because I feel like someone is watching me, or when I am going to sleep and I hear screams sometimes that shoot me out of sleep. I feel like these are just the little bit coming through the cracks of my so called dam. Wether these are good spirits or not, I really do not want anything to do with the so called paranormal, if you believe in it or not. I still find the whole concept fascinating don't get me wrong, but I wish that thats just what it was stories and videos, for me personally. I thought it was appropriate to start off that way because this blog is about how I did indulge in the whole sleep paralysis thing once. I will never do that again. This is the first time I found out I had the ability to put myself into sleep paralysis.

We were staying at my dads for while. I was trying to save money to get our own apartment and be on our own. We were there probably about a month or so. We didn't have internet or anything, I didn't have wifi or my video games so all my usual daily distractions were gone. I decided to try to make new distractions which was a bad idea. I started reading and learning about the whole paranormal realm, I decided that something that fascinated me would be a good way to pass the time and I would learn something new in the mean time. Well I started to play with the notion that this was real, the whole spirit plane and psychics and being able to communicate with the spirits was an actual possible thing. When I came across something explaining how to astro project. Basically out of body experiences, well on this one article it explained a few steps on how to achieve and control your dreams. You can fly on command and the dream world around you is up to your manipulation, lucid dreaming they called it. Well of course this sounded really cool so I started to think about this all day.

Night came fairly quick it was my day off so I had just spent the day with the family. We made our beds on the living room floor, thats where we were sleeping for the time being. I had almost forgot about this whole control your dreams thing, until I started to fall asleep I was drifting in and out of consciousness when I saw what looked like black vines start going up the wall behind the tv that was in the living room. It kinda shocked me cause I stood up and focus more on the wall and it was gone. Stupid shadows I told myself and just laughed at my self for being startled of innocent shadows I thought were coming from the little slits of light breaking through the blinds. Well I am fully awake now since the startle got a little bit of adrenaline going through me and I decide to play on my phone which was a desperate move on my part because with no wifi and just cell service it was slow as  fuck. I unlock my phone and the first thing that pops up is that article I was reading about lucid dreaming, which I found strange. I did not recall leaving the article up or even reading it for a couple of hours. Anyways I was bored, no one else was up, my girlfriend was asleep next to me and my two kids were sleeping on the couch next to us. I looked at the article and said what the hell lets try this shit. So determined to control my own dreams, I began.
So I began to read the instructions and did as they said. I laid on my back with arms on my side. Started to take deep breaths in and out, laying there motionless. I started to feel like an itch everywhere on my body, it wasn't all at once just various different parts, like a little itch on my elbow or knee, then thigh. The article said this would happen, I guess it was the bodies way of seeing if I was really asleep or some shit like that. The article said to fight to urge to scratch the itch and it would slowly go away. I was laying for about 30 min just still and I started feeling stupid for trying it. I decided to give up and get comfortable to sleep and decided that I would still try the other steps it described. The article stated once you were sleeping or dreaming to try and look at your hands. Whatever you were doing to look down or bring your hands up to your face and this would enable you to be able to control your dreams, and that they would become extremely vivid. So I began to drift into sleep, I dreamt for a while until all of a sudden I started hearing myself like an echo, “look at your hands” over and over again. Until my hands started to slowly raise and as soon as I seen my hands everything just swooshed into clarity in a snap. It was no longer the normal fuzzy dreams I mostly have, everything was really vivd, clear and kind of real. This all happened in what felt like a second. What happened directly after that is what still weirds me out.
As soon as my hands come into focus and everything just clicked clear. I heard what sounded like a really low growl, I know it seems a little over played or cliche but thats I heard I mean I was still dreaming so I guess anything was possible. Any way I heard something like that and then for just an instant these pair of red eyes came into focus, as I saw them my hands became see through kinda foggy exposing these eyes more.  I wasn't scared or anything it happened so fast I didn't really have time to react or anything its just something that I remember and I started slowly being able to I guess tell myself what to do in my dreams. This went on for the rest of the night until I woke up in the morning.
That day was pretty normal, I remember being really tired at night after work and all that, but it was to the point of exhaustion. The more I laid in bed the more I felt like I was being drained. I went to sleep quickly I don’t know how long it was into my deep sleep when I started experiencing the feeling I always get before going into sleep paralysis. Its a very difficult feeling to describe but it starts, for me, in the back of my head its kind of like a pulsating feeling like a light headedness but just in the back of your head, it travels down my spine until it envelopes me. Sometimes its so quick I do not even realize I am in it until I try to move. As soon as this feeling got a hold of me I knew what was coming so I decided to play with it a little I woke up and it was dark everyone was still asleep. So I laid there  and tried to recreate the feeling and It started really faintly but it grew as I concentrated more. I had the whole image of what I was facing though this whole time and then all of a sudden I felt my whole body tingling and as soon as that happened I knew I was not going to be able to move pretty soon but I knew I was asleep already, I don't know if that makes sense. I raised my hands to see them and I couldn’t, shit I said, did I wait too long to try it. I tried again with my left hand since I was laying down on my right arm with my hand turned down so I could see my wrist. I was still in the living room facing the wall and thats all I could see. So I tried again to put my hand up so I could see it and turn my right hand so that I was facing the palms of my hands, but again couldn’t, I was about to give up and hold my breath to snap out of it, but I noticed a pressure on my wrist. I tried so hard to look behind me but couldn’t. I tried to to move my arm again, and as I tried to raise it I again felt the pressure. “What the fuck is that” I told myself I have never felt anything like that before. One last time, with everything I had I tried pulling my hand up and it would just budge a little, I looked down as far as I could with just my eyes since I couldn't move my head, and then I saw it, just a glimpse, but I fucking saw it. Wrapped around my wrist was a hand, seeing it I could now feel the individual fingers on my wrist, I was freaking out kind of panicking I….could feel it. It wasn't big enough to be an adults hand but it was little like a kids hand or medium I guess. Once I saw it I started shaking and yelling and the intense vibration or tingling feeling just devoured me, more powerful than I have ever felt. I yelled “Let Go!” and in that second just like that the tingling stopped and everything went quiet. The ringing noise that came with the vibration subsided and out of the calm soothing silence I hear a raspy but sorta high pitched voice whisper “no”. I flinched and was more terrified than ever. I calmed down and again in my head yelled “leave me alone”, again everything went quiet  and I waited like prey at the mercy of the hunter. Nothing, not a whisper or feeling, nothing, I was relieved but still in the sleep paralysis episode. I still couldn't move so I tried calming down and started thinking about other things until eventually I just started dreaming. It was normal dreams I was flying or some generic shit like that. I felt the tingly feeling and without thinking about it I raised my hands and looked directly at them and just like that the scene that I was dreaming about looked liked it got ripped apart, like it was some background made of paper, and my dads living room came into focus.
